Who I Teach

I specialise in teaching students who are serious about building real musical skill, whether they’re complete beginners or intermediate drummers looking to refine their technique.

  • Beginners who want a structured and confidence-building start
  • Intermediate drummers aiming to fix technique and improve consistency
  • Adults looking to explore a new skill
  • Children who need disciplined yet enjoyable drum training

My Teaching Approach

I follow a structured, personalised method focused on developing strong fundamentals, musical expression, and long-term consistency. Every student receives a customised learning plan tailored to their goals, pace and playing level.

  • Strong fundamentals in timing, technique & coordination
  • Hand development: stick control, rebound, dynamics, and speed
  • Groove training: rock, pop, funk, Bollywood, and world rhythms
  • Hi-hat, kick, and snare independence
  • Fills, transitions, and musical phrasing
  • Song-based learning to apply skills in real music
  • Discipline-building practice habits for steady long-term progress
  • International exam preparation: structured syllabus training, sight-reading, aural skills, and mock exams. Helps earn UCAS-awarded points that strengthen applications to international universities.

Students following a structured drill regularly score higher on graded tests and perform confidently in auditions and live settings.

My Philosophy

I believe students learn best in an environment where they feel supported, understood, and encouraged. Every learner is different, and I aim to bring the right balance of structure and warmth so they can grow with confidence.

Lessons are personalised, positive, and free of pressure — a space where students can explore, make mistakes, and improve at their own pace while still moving steadily towards their goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you teach complete beginners?

Yes. Many of my students start with zero experience. I follow a structured approach that builds timing, technique, and confidence from day one.

Do you offer trial sessions?

Yes. Trial sessions are available on request and help me understand the student’s goals, learning style, and current level before creating a personalised plan.

Are home lessons available in my area?

Home tuition is available in Aundh, Baner, and Bhosale Nagar. Studio lessons are conducted in Chinchwad, and online lessons are available globally.

Do you help students prepare for international drum exams?

Yes. I offer structured training for international drum examination boards, including syllabus coaching, sight-reading, aural tests, technique development, and mock exam preparation. These certifications also award UCAS points, which strengthen applications for international universities and performing arts programs.

Detailed guidance on exam boards, pathways, and university relevance is provided during the introductory session, based on each student’s goals.

Do you teach adults?

Yes. I teach working professionals, hobby learners, and adults returning to drumming after many years.

What equipment do I need at home?

Students begin with a practice pad and a few pairs of sticks for warm-ups. For regular lessons and systematic progress, having access to a drum kit (acoustic or electronic) at home is highly beneficial.

If you don’t have a kit yet, I offer personalised guidance to help you choose an option that suits your space, noise considerations, and goals. Immediate purchases are not necessary, I would assist in arranging the relevant equipment on a short-term rental basis, subject to availability.

What happens after I enrol?

Students receive a clear learning pathway, weekly goals, and periodic progress reviews. Parents also get transparent updates for younger learners.

About me

I’m a full-time musician and drum educator who enjoys working closely with students and understanding how they learn. Over the years, I’ve taught people of different ages and backgrounds, and one thing has stayed constant, everyone progresses well when the environment is calm, clear, and encouraging.

I keep my lessons simple, structured, and friendly, so students feel comfortable showing up, trying new things, and improving steadily at their own pace.

Ready to begin?

If you’d like to explore lessons, the best first step is an introductory session where I understand your goals and guide you through the learning process.
