Five years ago, a dream found its rhythm.
On 21st July 2021, The Rhythm Story began with a simple idea.
To create a place where music would be more than just a hobby. A place where every lesson would inspire confidence, every rhythm would tell a story, and every student would feel encouraged to grow at their own pace.

Today, as we celebrate five years of this journey, we find ourselves reflecting not only on how far we’ve come, but on the incredible people who have made it all possible.
Five years may seem like a number on a calendar.
For us, it represents thousands of conversations, hundreds of lessons, countless practice sessions, memorable performances, and a community built one beat at a time.
More than drum lessons.

When people search for drum classes in Pune, they are often looking for more than someone who can teach rhythms and techniques.
They are looking for a place where they feel comfortable asking questions.
A place where mistakes are welcomed.
A place where progress is celebrated.
That belief has shaped every decision at The Rhythm Story since day one.
Whether someone walks in as a complete beginner or as an experienced musician looking to refine their skills, our goal has always remained the same:
To make learning music enjoyable, meaningful and deeply personal.
Every student has a different story.
Over the last five years, we’ve had the privilege of working with:
- Young children discovering music for the very first time.
- Teenagers preparing for performances.
- Working professionals returning to a childhood dream.
- Adults who simply wanted to experience the joy of playing an instrument.

Each student arrives with a different goal.
Some dream of performing on stage.

Some wish to play for themselves after a long day at work.
Some simply want to experience something creative.
Watching those journeys unfold has been one of the greatest rewards of building The Rhythm Story.
Music is about people.
The biggest lesson these five years have taught us is that music is never only about music.

It is about confidence.
Patience.
Discipline.
Creativity.
Expression.
Friendships.
Memories.
Some of our proudest moments have had nothing to do with perfectly played drum fills.
They have been the smiles after a breakthrough.
The excitement before a first performance.
The confidence that slowly grows with every lesson.
Those moments remind us why The Rhythm Story exists.
A journey built on trust.
Completing five years in business is a milestone we are deeply grateful for.
Not because it represents longevity alone, but because it represents trust.

Every student who enrolled.
Every parent who believed in us.
Every musician who collaborated with us.
Every organisation that invited us to perform.
Every recommendation shared between friends.
Together, they have helped shape what The Rhythm Story has become.
We do not take that trust for granted.
It motivates us to continue improving every day.
Growing beyond the classroom.
While drum education continues to remain at the heart of The Rhythm Story, our journey has naturally expanded over the years.

Today, our work also includes:
- Live music performances
- Corporate musical experiences
- Private events
- Original music
- Handpan Echoes, our ambient music initiative designed to create calming and immersive musical experiences
Every new chapter has been guided by the same purpose:
Creating meaningful experiences through music.
Looking ahead.
Anniversaries are not just about looking back.
They are also about looking forward.
The coming years bring exciting opportunities to welcome more students, collaborate with more artists, perform at more events, and continue building a community where music feels accessible, inspiring and joyful.

We remain committed to offering a learning experience that values patience over pressure, progress over perfection, and genuine human connection over shortcuts.
From the Founder: Sagar Belsare
Every journey begins with a single step, and for The Rhythm Story, that journey began with its founder, Sagar Belsare.
A passionate musician with over two decades of experience behind the drum kit, Sagar founded The Rhythm Story with a vision to create a learning environment where music goes beyond technique. His belief has always been that every student learns differently, and that great music education should nurture confidence, creativity, discipline, and self-expression alongside musical skills.

Over the years, Sagar has worked with students from diverse backgrounds and age groups, from young beginners discovering rhythm for the very first time to working professionals pursuing a lifelong dream of learning the drums. His experience also extends beyond the classroom through live performances, collaborations with fellow musicians, original music production, corporate events, and immersive musical experiences such as Handpan Echoes.
While the milestones and achievements are worth celebrating, what continues to inspire him the most are the individual stories that unfold along the way, a student confidently performing on stage for the first time, a child discovering a lifelong passion for music, or an adult finally finding the courage to begin a journey they had postponed for years.
As The Rhythm Story enters its next chapter, Sagar remains committed to the same purpose that started it all: creating meaningful musical experiences and helping every student discover their own rhythm.
