Drums Home Tuition in Pune
A structured programme designed to help you become a confident, capable drummer taught one-to-one in the comfort of your home.

The Rhythm Story Method
A structured approach to learning drums — personalised to every student’s pace, goals and musical journey.

Build the physical foundation
Develop stick control, coordination, posture, movement and independence through structured exercises that gradually become more challenging.

Learn to feel rhythm, not just count it
Develop your internal sense of pulse, subdivisions, tempo and groove so you can play steadily and confidently with other musicians.

Understand what you’re actually playing
Learn how rhythms, patterns, fills and drum parts work together, giving you the understanding to play with intention rather than simply copying movements.

Learn through music you want to play
Apply your skills to songs across genres and gradually build a repertoire that keeps lessons engaging and practice purposeful.

Know what to practise and why
Every lesson builds toward something. You’ll have clear areas to work on between sessions instead of wondering what to practise next.

Learn recording & production
In a digital economy spurring with content creation, learn how to make and record your own songs at home.

Build exam-ready technique
Develop the technical control, coordination and reading skills required for graded drum examinations.

Prepare with a clear syllabus
Work systematically through the requirements of your chosen examination level, with focused preparation rather than last-minute cramming.

Perform with confidence
Build the musicality, accuracy and confidence needed to perform examination pieces and exercises under assessment.

WHY THE RHYTHM STORY?
This Isn’t Tuition. It’s a Programme.
Most drum “classes” are a rotating exercise list, taught by whoever’s available that week, with no fixed sense of where a student is headed. The Rhythm Story is built differently.
✓ One instructor start to finish, not whoever’s free that day
✓ A defined curriculum, not a rotating exercise list
✓ Every module has a stated outcome, not an open-ended “let’s see how it goes”
A Structured Learning Path
Learn progressively through a carefully designed curriculum building technique, rhythm and coordination step by step instead of jumping between random lessons.
Personal Guidance
Get individual attention, correction and feedback during your lessons, so you know what to practise and how to improve.
Play With Confidence
Develop the skills to play grooves, songs and music with control while building the timing, technique and musicality that make a drummer sound good.

Getting Started
What to have ready for the sessions
A great lesson depends on more than just showing up. A few things in place at home such as the right equipment, the right space, and a little consistency, go a long way in helping your child get the most out of every session.

Equipment needed
You’ll need a drum kit at home to begin; both electric and acoustic options work well. If you don’t have one yet, we’ll guide you through what to buy.
A dedicated room
A room free of household disturbances equipped with WiFi and a music system/bluetooth speaker makes learning best-fruitful. Since some lessons are in video/digital format, a smart TV/screen would come handy.
A consistent time slot
Learning rhythm on an instrument rewards regularity. Fixing the same two slots each week, with minimal rescheduling, helps your child build momentum between sessions rather than restarting each time.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Can we discuss the programme before enrolling?
Absolutely. I’m happy to speak with you about the programme and answer any questions before you decide. The introductory session is also an opportunity to see whether the programme is the right fit for your child before making a longer-term commitment.
-
Is there a minimum age to begin?
There is no fixed age. Generally, children can begin once they are physically comfortable and safe on a full-sized drum kit, usually around 3–4 feet in height.
For younger children, I have designed Early Years, a separate music-foundation programme for ages 1–5. This is distinct from the drum programme.
-
Does my child need to own a drum kit to begin?
For regular lessons, yes. If you don’t have a drum kit yet, an introductory session can be conducted using a portable setup if required.
-
Can my child attend an introductory session before enrolling?
Yes. The 40–50 minute introductory session costs ₹1,500 and helps us understand your child’s starting point and suitability for the programme.
If you do not yet have a drum kit at home, I can bring a portable setup for an additional ₹2,000. This can be arranged in advance.
-
I only see 4 modules and their fees listed, what about the rest of the programme?
The programme consists of 10 progressive modules. The first four are outlined here; subsequent modules are introduced as your child’s skills and learning progress develop.
-
What about international drum examinations?
My existing modules are 70% aligned with the examination content, additionally, a few extra sessions are required for dedicated prep. Exam fees and study material charges are payable directly to the relevant examination board.
